I guessed
104 right
107 wrong
35 sort of
Some I admitted in the comments I couldn't even fathom a guess......

And then there's those I don't know what the answers are cause they didn't post them in the photo details.

Unless theres any new DQ's then these are the places that I don't see an answer posted.... too many to post all the shots here and too lazy to go look up all the titles and users.

I'm number 248. Mine was a serrated step block which is used in machining. The full piece looks like this.

It was sitting in an industrial soap called Resall-E.

But I'm sure you could get the exact same picture with a pipe wrench and some anti-freeze like some people had guessed.

Mine, 95, was really quite mundane. It was a rotary clothes drier. The line goes through a round hole in the arm. Will try to find a normal shot tomorrow, if not, I will take one and post it.

I can't fathom having the dedication to not only comment on all of them, but then go back through a second time and tally your results. That's some energy! :)

Out of the 30 comments I got, 7 were "close", and only one was really "correct".

It's some sort of earthenware/clay float.

For those of you who are interested the picture is of a side light on a vehicle, the front fender one that blinks when you turn on the blinker. Just a closeup and made blue.

Only 2 out of 28 got it right. The edge on the top left corner gave it away to one of the commenters.

I was happy that I managed to create a pretty picture out of something as tiny and dull as these plastic press studs.
Here are the submission and the setup photo:

But what about these guys? They didn't put what it is in the remarks to let us know if we were right or wrong.....

Yellow Cactus. Not really a great shot but I got a bunch of very good comments. All of them appreciated.
It was a fun challenge with a lot of interesting shots.

You were the only one even close on mine, and it was an oblique reference at that. Sorry about the gross-out aspect : )
Obviously, nobody remembered that I had used a colorized version of the same subject "quite a few" (approximately 400) entries ago, taken with my old Olympus ...
