almost looks like a microscopic look at the surface of a non-stick pan. It has an interesting shape to it, I'm not sure if you pulled that off with the type of lens or if that is it's real shape. My first thought was a wood file shot with a fish-eye lens, giving it that unique shape. Hope you post a picture of what it really is post challenge. I love the color and depth of field.

It does look like scales, doesn't it! Great DOF and colour, a very good abstract photo, almost like an optical illusion. I have no idea what it is, it looks metallic, maybe some sort of tool or kitchen utensil?
