I am the biggest baby about pain - I almost passed out when I had my ears pierced...
But I now sport four tattoos and want to get more. They hurt like hell (at least to me) but I am addicted to them. No pics of them as of yet but will try to get some so I can post them. |

My two brothers and I got our first tattoos together. Our dad's mother was 100% Chinese, and we love our heritage. We all have Chinese characters in our ink. My middle brother (-2yrs) got the symbols for "strength" in black over "heart" in grey. He has this on his right shoulder blade because his fiance didn't want him to have it over his heart on his chest. My little brother (-5yrs) designed something kind of tribal around the symbol for "strength" with three downward casting rays. This was done in the middle of his back, between the shoulder blades. Each ray is to represent our grandfather, our uncle, and our cousin. Grandpa died one January, our uncle followed him by three weeks, and that summer our cousin was killed in a car wreck. Mine is on my left shoulder blade and is the Chinese symbol for my grandmother's maiden name, Yen. My dad has several living aunties and uncles with this last name in California. They were happy to provide the symbol. I will post pics when I get home this afternoon. It was a great experience for the three of us to share and I can't wait to go again. My middle brother is probably done, but my little brother wants another one and so do I. It was funny when we were in the parlor, my little brother went first...the guy started and he didn't even wince, my brother just shook his head like, "This doesn't even hurt!" So I eagerly jumped in the chair next thinking, "That's easy!" Yeah, until it felt like my skin was being sliced with a filet knife! I much prefered the concentrated filling-in over the quick, whispy paintbrush-like strokes!
-drew...sorry about the book I just posted! :-)
Edit: see Chinese tatoos posted below!

No, it doesn't. They are addictive. I have 3 also..I want at least 1 more. |
My theory is that the manufacturers of the inks put a little heroin in them, just to get people hooked!

Hey... no pic yet might use it here one day. But I have a set of wings on my back from shoulder to lower back (black), on my lower back I have a red tat normal one off kinda thing. And one on my forearm (inside). Rather than have my wifes name I have a copy of her tattoo, hers is on her lower back , a few years ago she had her 4th and 5th vert fused and the surgeon used her Tattoo to align her scar/wound. so I have a tracing of that.
Edited to make sense.

I have a couple. I got mine done when I was quite young.
Just remember in 20 years they dont look quite the same. I dont regret them, but I am happy I did not put them on parts of the body that can't be easily covered with a tee shirt.

I have two, this is one. I don't think I will get anymore, I like them but only want others to see them when I choose to have them seen, not all the time.

hopefully most recent ones will stay pretty good for a while longer now that the ink that used contains ABS plastic as the colorant. |

Whoa, around here we call that a "tramp Stamp". Not directed at you of course. The game is to find someone with a hat trick (tramp stamp, muffin top and whale tail). |

I have this on my left arm, its really really hard to take a pic of though, since it wraps around my arm and whatnot. Its a pheonix.
I also have a tattoo on my ankle from when I was a teenager. A butterfly going so fast its on fire. lol |

To me a tramp stamp is for the girls who get a tattoo cuz its 'cool' or 'trendy', or because they think its sexy. Mine is very personal and has a lot of spiritual significance, but I didn't want it to be somewhere it was constantly on display. :o) Oh...and my jeans fit me...no muffin top here! ;o)
Oh...and what's a whale tail?
