Welcome back, Kelli!
Ignore scores - turn 'em off. I have mine off due to near heart failure when I did look - let's just say there may be a new personal best in my future, but I sure as heck don't want to see the slow slide as the week goes on. Better to wait until rollover and see where it lands. But I will say I am well beyond delighted with this one. Really thrilled, if truth be told. As I mentioned in the scores thread, I think I'm up to a dancing lima bean! |

Ouch, Jelena, that smarts. On the bright side, at 18 votes, scores can wildly fluctuate at this point - hopefully it'll rise.
Go Deb! Good luck, you deserve to be up on the front page more often.
BTW, Team Critical Mass did go up against the Ribbon Hogs, and while they lost, they put up a darn respectable fight. Done TS proud, I think. :) |

I chose Puzzle Macro and at 6 votes last night had a 3.666x. Looks like we may have two brown ribbons for TS this week.

It's awesome that Team Critical Mass in playing in the same division with the Ribbon Hogs. Takes guts. But wait! That's not all! They are in second place. Way to go! Rah rah! and all that. |

Wow, what a lot of exciting stuff...Kelli back, sickdog back, Jelena internet-less - and at under 4? that's just plain crazy, girl! Deb maybe/maybe not going to a warm sandy place for 6 months or a year (preferably 6 mths Deb), posthumous' sig. other getting a black eye...
Well at least my Pure finished barely over 5 so I'm happy. Neg Space sucking at 4.5ish as is backsides so I'm back where I belong. Guess I better stick to shooting my mechanics!
Oh yeah just booked Octopussy into a kitty spa for when I'm gone out West in late Sep for a visit ...www.catsparadise.ca I think...
Time to vote, let's see if I can make some peoples' days...

LOL, I know, doesn't mean I can't wish you guys good luck...and besides it's all for fun anyway! and since OOF is a TS team and WriteHeart, Colorcarnival and myself from MC are TS, either way it goes TS wins, LOL.

Yay, my Internet access mysteriously started functioning again (just as mysteriously as it stopped last night). And my Negative space score is still sub-4, but due to a couple of comments, I'm getting some insight into why this is :)
'gross and disgusting'
'not a very appetizing image'

Sheesh, this is "Negative Space," not "Make my Breakfast"!! I got through voting on all of them, and there was only one that got less than a 4 from me, and it wasn't because of the choice of subject.

This would have been my Candid entry, though the one of my son fearfully watching out for cicadas was a good one too.
It probably would have scored in the 4.6 range; there's a lot of distracting elements; the color isn't great, etc.

| Heh, now someone requested a validation for my Negative Space entry. Considering my current score, a DQ wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen to it, but sadly, yes, I do have the original file, and yes, I did scrupulously follow the basic editing rules, so no such luck. |

I'm excited! This is the first "ad" picture that I've done. It's a bad scan, but you get the idea. The only problem is I didn't know the picture was going to be so small in the ad, and they cropped my name off the bottom! Oh well, it was fun to do and exciting waiting for my copy to come. |
