Can I use a B/W conversion plug-in filter in basic editing? In CS2 it's under...Filter, photo plug-ins. |

As far as I am aware it would be classed as a filter which in general is not allowed in Basic Editing unless it is Noise or a Neat Image style programme. |

B&W conversion is allowed in Basic. If that filter is not allowed, you can use the Channel Mixer or Hue/Saturation.
These may be better choices since you can use them on an adjustment layer.
Selective desaturation is not allowed but you can sometimes achieve the same effect in Basic by using Hue/Saturation and desat a particular color in the dropdown list.
What ever you do, it must be applied to the entire image.

Thanks...I haven't been using CS2 very long so I wasn't sure about that.
