Did anyone else get this message?

That was an email purportedly from here? Yet you can still sign in without confirming? Sounds phishy to me :)
Check the headers. I bet the path won't lead back to dpc! |

| Site Council does have a mechanism in place that requests that a user confirms their e-mail address. It's not something we use all that often, and I don't immediately see evidence that we requested it for your account, but if you would PM me the message, I'll be glad to look into it for you! |

Then how did you log in...? I'm assuming you must have done whatever the screen asked then...? (Just trying to find out a little more about what you're seeing.) |

I opened Explorer, clicked on Favorites list to DPC.
instead of normal home page a web page came up saying needed to confirm email.
Opened my home web based email acct.
Clicked on email. Clicked on link in email.
Home page opened in new page with me logged in. |

| We have a job that runs every 2 weeks that checks a mailbox for bounced email addresses and flags every account that matches. Your email address must have appeared in one of those emails. |

I got one of these a month or so ago and couldn't get it to confirm me. Then all of a sudden I got all the emails from my attempts, heh.
I panicked a little when I got it. "OMG what did I do?!" My email server must have been down for a few hours or something, because I've never seen anything out of the ordinary since.
Just do what the nice bot says, and it will be all okay, heh. |

She got the message ON DPC, while logging in - not in her email.
If your email needs to be confirmed, you will get this message on the site itself after logging in successfully.
She got this message because an email we sent to her address came back as undeliverable.
