I am looking at buying an affordable notepad for use with photoshop. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

I'm not sure what you mean by notepad...do you mean tablet?
if so go with wicom it's the best.

I have a Wacom model: CTE-440
I haven't used any others, but I like mine and it was pretty cheap. |

Even the least expensive 4x5 Wacom tablet will be a big help with operations like retouching, masking, and dodge/burning. I have a couple which are over ten years old and still working.
If you plan to do a lot of actual drawing/illustration you may need a bigger tablet. If you are seriously into digital "painting" you want a Cintiq. : ) |
