The S7000 has continious AF! That's it, I want one! :)

Whoa!
My eyes just popped out of my head and I'm having trouble finding them now : )

So bod, are you considering joining us again? I hope you do.

Anyway, how is this continuous AF going to work? I don't know about you other S602 users but I can NOT stand the auto focusing system of the current S602. If there is any hint of low light my camera couldn't focus to save it's life and I don't see that Fuji did anything to correct that. Not even an AF Assist lamp.

It is even visible on the side. The AF/MF switch now has a third option, C-AF.

Still not convinced about it having continuous AF, there's no mention of it in the specs released so far. It does mention that the AF has centre, area and multi so I wonder if this is what the switch does? All speculation until someone gets their hands on one though.

Scroll down to 'Special shooting modes' and there it is ... very easy to miss.

The samples looks awful, perhaps they have made a mistake and uploaded other samples? Look at the amount of noise + the clipped pixels (hot pixels, a few are visible).

The samples are terrible - maybe they want to reassure people that you can still take crap pictures, no matter which camera you have ?

I can't see that those are supposed to be representing how good the camera is...

It's clearly a camera issue -- not the photographer, the images were just awful in terms of noise levels and hot pixels. I'd hope it's not what the S5000 can produce, otherwise, it's a joke.

I can only assume the samples are from a very early pre-production model - like they slapped the new ccd in a 602 and fired away. They're supposedly shot at ISO200, 6mp with NORMAL compression, but that's no excuse. It's beyond me why they would post them at all.

I like the conspiracy theory that they were uploaded by a rival company ; )

I sit by the computer corrected, the only thing I'll say in my defence is that that line isn't in the UK press release. You'd have thought they'd have shouted about that a bit more, perhaps it has problems in low-light situations! ;)

Actually should congratulate the marketing boys (and girls) at Fuji for bringing out new cameras and again not changing the size of filter threads, batteries, etc.

I think the s5000 is a budget s602 but the s7000 looks good.
But i already own a s602 so i think the next step will be DSLR.
