Hey guys, we just got done. We ended up getting some AWESOME shots of the tiger and lions after all you guys left. We then went up to holy hill for some sunset/night shots and finally got home a few minutes ago. The initial run through shows some promise. Oh and I must post this before going to bed:

Edit to add: I would also like to thank Bugzeye for organizing this, I had a great time and learned a lot...including how much I now want a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L...

Thanks to NstiG8tr for lending me his 70-200mm f/2.8L for the zoo shoot!

I took a nap lastnight with intentions of getting up in a couple of hours and going through my pictures. Well I napped for nearly 9 hours instead. Going to start some processing right after breakfast.

It was a perfect day for pictures and even a better day to just hang around getting to know everyone a little bit better. But I have to say, Lunch Sucked I should have given my to the animals. The 500 dollar fine would have been better than the effects the Zoo Food had on my tummy. lol

I will post some shots here in a little while.

also waiting to see some Holy Hill shots..

Well, I'm awake, barely. Got home at about 10:15PM, and the only thing I wanted to look at was the inside of my eyelids. I should get to my shots later today. I'll be processing for a month!
'Twas an outstanding day, great weather, good company... even if a certain ape did decide to hurl insults.

I'm still hoarding a few pics because I'm tossing around some challenge possibilities, but here's a macaque from yesterday:

Here's one

I'll get some more up in the next day or so. I just wanted people to see what an Image stabilized lens will do to help in certain situations. This was shot at 1/15 sec with a 300mm prime. I think Kirbic will concurr. See the details for this shot.

Looks like everyone had an excellent time...I'm sorry I missed it! I'm looking forward to seeing more great shots from this outing!

one animal flips you off another one sticks his tongue out at you. most of them ran and hid as you approached,, lol you have a way with the animals. I love your photo but even that wont convince me to spend the fortune it would be to convert to canon however I might consider trying another VR lens again one day.

Here's an edited version.

The other was straight out the cam and just converted to B&W.

Fritz! I nearly submitted my snake shot to the silky smooth challenge, but held off because I wasn't sure about the connection to the challenge in the minds of the voters. I eventually lost track of time and missed the deadline. Now that I see your shot, I wish I had reconsidered!

i had the same thoughts about that snake. I have a couple of shots of it also Sameer should have a few too.
