Did anyone ever tried to enter the very same pic into two challenges?
one could enter a pic to the members challenge on Sunday and if it's doing well enter the same pic on the open challenge on Tuesday.
it worked very well for Dudski who entered more or less the same pic on the Contre-jour challenge (and got the blue) and on the free study (and ended in the 5th place).
but did anyone ever entered the very same pic? (and is it against any rule?)

You must not:
use the same original image in more than one challenge |

Definitely against the rules.

Yes it is against the rule to enter the exact same picture. There are tons of examples on this site of people entering very similar photos....often from the same photo shoot or location.

Hi Oded. Next one in the series is fine, as long as the same original file is not used twice. It must be two different jpg files; one for each submission.

Though if they're so similar that it's hard to tell the difference you'll almost positively get voted way down for it, the freestudies being the one possible exception.
Just remember, there are things that are technically legal but traditionally not well accepted on DPC, and the voters WILL let you know! :) |
