Ok, just wanted to see if anyone else could clear this up for me.
My camera had 3 image settings. SQ, HQ and SHQ. Now the SQ is nice for web shots... it is 640X480 and set for 72PPI. Both of the other settings are 1280 X 960 with a 96PPI. The only difference i can see is image compression..
HQ is about 11:1 where SHQ is 4:1.
All other basic specs are the same... color depth, resolution, PPI, etc....
So my question is this. is it really worth it to more than double image size for storage to go with the SHQ mode? Is there any noticible gain, and if so where?

You should use SHQ for anything you do unless all you want to do with it is share it with friends or post online... If you ever want to print, you definitely need the SHQ...
