Could anyone guide me??
My website will be up soon and I'm looking for an easy to use web photogallery software. Something that creates a thumbnail menu and larrge pics.
I tried the PS automate one but the pics are too small for my taste.
Tahnks for your input!

hi there kosmik
did u know that the PS version let's you specify exactly what size you reproduce the web versions? yup, it lets you have them be any size you want! not to mention specify caption font, titles, and background colors.
just look it up in the help, i think it will point you in the direction you want to go.
good luck : )

Another good HTML generator is included in 'Breeze Browser' which is mainly a canon tool, but works well with JPEGs. I made a multi-directory navigatable CD with about 400 pictures on it, all from film scans using it.
You can find it at www.breezesys.com There are also lots of templates available.

I use Thumber. You choose the pictures you want on a page, title the page, make sure your pictures are the large display size you want when you click on the thumb, and the program creates the thumbs, the web page, and all. It's great. Free for a limited version, limits you to 10 images on a page, $18.00 to register for a full version. You can get it at //www.tawbaware.com/ |

Kosmik, I use Gallery and am very happy with it. It's written in PHP (should be supported by your webspace provider) but does not require any kind of database (which almost always costs extra when you pay for your webspace). You can upload your photos via a web admin interface and it also creates thumbnails on the fly.
Click on the "My Gallery" link of my signature to see an example of Gallery :-)

I use several of the Ulead products for image editing and creating the html for my web pages.
PhotoImpact (similar to Photoshop, much easier to understand, but not as robust, still does great on editing pics).
PhotoImpact Album (creates "photo albums" and generates the necessary html and thumbnails for the web or to share with friends on CD's...pretty configurable)
And Ulead Photo Explorer, lets you view your pics in thumbnail version, will generate html and so on...this is like the ACDsee program. Some image editing and renaming and batch functions.

Just thought I'd give you one more option, like you need it! But I like Express Thumbnail Creator. It's pretty simple and gives you control over many options.
