Just tried to open both Adobe Bridge and Photoshop CS3 and both are expired. I went to the Adobe site, they are no longer available. So this week I ordered the very expensive Adobe Production Studio CS2 because the CS3 version will not be released until June or July with a free upgrade to the CS3 version at that time. BUT until it gets released, even though Adobe is selling Bridge and PS CS3 they will not allow use of CS3 until they upgrade my Production Suite in July. That kinda sucks. Oh well, kinda bait and switch marketing plan. They did get me to buy then makes me wait three more months for programs that are for sale individually. I suspect a lot of photogs will get the same message today ;)

I just spent a half hour on the phone to Adobe. She was surprised that the beta and trials are no longer available. She suggested I cancell the expensive production suite CS3 and purchase a cheaper package that has PS CS3 in it. Or even better go buy PS CS3 at a retailer and then return it in 29 days, and keep doing that until July when the package is released. WOW, an incredible answer from a major software company. She says they have never heard of any other complaints, well it just happened today. So be ware, if you nuy a suite that is not released, the beata and trial software may not be available. She also refused to send this up the chain of command because no one can do anything. Oh well, back to CS2 until July.

Criminy. Normally they give *at least* 30 days past the ship date of the product. They've also already put CS2 users at a disadvantage by updating Camera RAW only for CS3, so if you have a very new camera model, you're forced to upgrade. It's their business, and they can do what they like, but honestly I find their recent practices a little off-putting. Now the beta expiration without even an e-mail or pop-up notifying us prior to expiration. Not real nice.

Lawl.
If I wasn't a minor, I definitely wouldn't do this..
But when I get home, I will post a link here. It has a little surprise gift for those of you using a trial of adobe.
I'm not sure if its legal or not, to be honest.
;)

Probably not a good idea to post it then...

Yes but I don't think Langdon is looking forward to a letter from any lawyers. ;)

I'm sure he'd like to avoid that yes. Especially one from a company like Adobe.

I think I'd be the one to get in trouble..
I advertise the link on my myspace page as well.
..Even then, I don't see how I'd get in trouble.
Wouldn't the people responsible for creating the code generator be the ones who get in trouble?
I'm just trying to get you all some free photoshop.
Nobody ever told me whether it was legal or not.

1. using torrentz, you are just asking for trouble. Viruses, worms, malware, fines when you get caught...

2. DPC is probably not the best place to be advertising your use of warez

3. Beautiful-Joe If its warez related you prob shouldn't post it in here.

I personally have 0 tolerance for warez distributors or users that are making money off of the software. There are plenty of free and or cheep alternatives available so I feel there is no excuse for it, but with that said unless you really get annoying with posting warez, key-gens and what not I will just look the other way 99.999% of the time. Keep in mind that we do have a very diverse group in DPC and you never know who is actually watching the forums...

I don't exactly know what mine is.
It is a keygen of sorts.
I'm going to give a short warning now.
I have not posted a link in any way shape or form.
Simply offered.
Do
Not
Anger
Me.
I haven't done anything wrong.

Odd how psychic I can be at times..

In the publishers eyes you are just as guilty for distributing the hacks as the other guys are for creating them but the difference is it's easier to track you down and take you to court than the guy that wrote the code in the first place.

I'm no supporter of piracy, in fact I basically have no time for it, but if everyone on this site who uses CS2 has a legit licensed copy I'll eat my hat.

And I'd have a to buy a hat to do that.

I'm really not in a good mood.
I was when I first posted here,
not anymore.

Seeing as Langdon didn't/wouldn't do anything wrong,
under the laws around here, he could not possibly get in trouble.
Not possibly.
Unless adobe is positioned in Saudi Arabia or something..

I agree..
But don't look at me.
Only one of all of the pictures in my portfolio has been edited, and that was with Gimp.
I might be enough of an ass to spread links to key generators,
but I'm not as stupid as I look.

o_o

..Brings me joy to know that adults will die before me..

Anywho..
I do believe that Adobe removed the trials because so many key generators exist, as I've demonstrated.
The CS3 program costs around three hundred dollars at my semilocal walmart.
If each person in the US were to simply download the trial and use a key generator, think of how much money Adobe is losing.
Perhaps the paranoia finally proved true.

I expect to see alot of big-shot Adobe trial users sobbing over being forced to use Gimp or pay for Adobe.
This also brings me joy..

I feel I'm in need of a nice healthy debate.
I missed English class today.
