I havent been this disappointed in a while! a freaking 5.88!
i guess my shot is "too" controversal and too many sensitive people on this site(can't say anymore without giving it away)

Second, 5.88 is a very good score for a controversial image, which if I'm right, your is in spades. You had to know that the image would be polarizing (content matters). And you can't tell me that being controversial wasn't part of the allure. ;)

well i know 5.88 isnt terrible. But I had much higher expectations. Yes I know im sensitive :P But I thought there would be more lovers than haters

You make it sound so bad! LOL. I'm content to increase my average but certainly was looking for about 6 considering that I knew going in that my pic was pretty mundane even if it is fun.

I'm really happy. There are some fantastic images in the challenge and while I like my entry a lot I know it doesn't quite have the wow factor that's needed to score very high. It's been great getting back into a challenge though after a longer than expected break from dpchallenge.

I had an idea for a more striking triptych but didn't have the time to pull it off properly so until the next challenge I'm happy to watch and see what happens. It's rather fun having an update button again

Check out the scores in the last triptych challenge and you may feel better ... there are some absolutely incredible images buried down in the mid and low 5s. (There were 59 scores above 6 in that challenge, about 25% of the entries! With so many great entries, I suspect that a lot of images were downgraded because of the competition.)

Everything is relative, and a 5.x (or even a 4.x) doesn't mean its a "bad" picture. I'm quite happily now above 6.2, but won't be surprised if that's not even in the top 50 in this one.
