There are some excellent entries in Triptych! A couple though are really not Triptych's, except for the fact that they are just divided into three's. However, some are truly stunning and unique. Wish I could have gotten something in, but encourage all to vote. Really good stuff (though only 10% of the way done myself). |

I managed to get into triptych. After spending a pleasant several hours tweaking it here and there (a labor of love, so no problem there), I was down to the wire and I hadn't actually put in the frame separator lines!
My heart was pounding as I hit the upload button at about 11:59. :)

I don't think lines are a requirement. At least I haven't been voting down entries without lines. |

I agree. I wanted lines in mine. :)

I got the triptych in - ok thematically, pictorially mundane and photographically poor. All those after seeing the general standard of entries. Mind you, one photograph with two lines making a division into three smells of cheap trick to me - mutter, mumble...
Oh, I'm just a hair's breadth over 5 in the ratings so far...
Edited to anglicise the spelling...

I wonder if this is gonna be another low 5 entry with a gazillion comments received? That's kinda cool, I like comments :) |

After looking through the entries in Triptych, I wish I hadn't entered. REALLY good stuff there!
I shot for Symmetry yesterday and like what I got, but I may sit it out just the same. Have to relook at what I have and think about it a bit. |

curious - i started voting on triptych, and the shots were very good. now i'm going through a batch that are, well, a bit blah. little consideration given to the flow of the images, the colour/tone, the quality. some just three images, but not hought given to how they work together.
sorry, a litle grumpy.

I think I got some of that curious, too. Haven't started voting, but on a couple of fly-bys I got #1 gobsmacked by quality and then #2 the syndrome of lack-of-relation/lack-of-variation/lack-of... with a sprinkling of #3 how much is one picture with two stripes in it or three pictures plastered around on a fourth worth in the trippy category?
Brain hurts. |

WOW...I thought the same thing. I was giving all these very high votes and then it just seemed to fade. |

much higher then i expected. I had been out Sat looking for a free study shot ( which i didnt find) and got home and was reading one of the threads on how to create a triptych and started playing with 3 shots i had taken and the wife said why dont you enter it. But i am guessing it go down to a mid 4 because the quailty of the 3 photos really sucks. |

...but at least the comments are quite consistent, so I know what I did wrong. I figured this may finish around 4.0 if I'm lucky. Oh well, the only way to learn is by making mistakes. |

I was starting to think my low scores were meant to balance out against the addition of purpleflutterby13 to Team Minus.

For what it's worth (and I realize it's not a whole lot) I did try to work tonal range and lighting in my triptych to match well. I think I suceeded to some extent. Looking forward to seeing what you guys think after it's out of voting. Though I will not argue at all if the verdict is "but it's kinda blah!". It is. :-) |

I've got a couple of decent comments and a couple who - er - don't get it. This may have something to do with the title alluding to something not immediately accessable to those who have never read a book or indeed those who don't have access to Google. Oh.
Still n all, the 5+ around which it's hovering is flattering enough. |
