Will the Sony Alpha work with Minolta equipment? I had heard this rumor but want to know for sure.

Yes, certain ones. Tons of info out there... :)

Basically, any lens or accessory made for the Minolta (or Konica-Minolta) Dynax/Maxxum series of cameras (the autofocus ones) should also work on the Sony DSLR range.

signal2noise and I had a photoshoot together when he was here for work and his lenses worked fine with my Sony Alpha.
