Well, DUH! That's what I get for trying to work and dpc at the same time. I should just go home for the rest of the day so I can dpc full time! I beg your indulgence...8-) |

This also gives me a good idea of your surroundings, but also gives me a taste of the happenings and the people. Thanks Jak!

I'm so glad this was bumped...I needed the reminder. This will be fun to do, and to see where others live too.

yeah, im glad this was bumped too. I forgot all about it. It's great for me since I just moved out to Cali and I'm in the process of getting to know the area. I hope a lot of people do this and it is a bit organized so that we can get a lot of comments on our photos and comment on everyone elses as well. I am going to refrain from looking at everyone elses pictures in this thread until all the collections are done on the due date, and then I'll spend a few hours checking them all out. It's a great idea! |

A nice over view of your town RLS!
I really enjoyed it, and my favorite is "Fountain Gazing"

I took a short series on BW film for my evening class, similar assignment but within half hour walk of your house.
Unfortunately they had to keep our portfolio's over summer because the examiner guy decided not to come in until after term ended.
If the thread hasn't sunk tooooo far by September when we get them back and I can scan them, I'd like to share too.

Originally posted by jmsetzler: Take photographs in the city or town you live in. You may take as many or as few as you like. They don't have to be taken during any specific timeframe. Show people what there is to see in your town!
If someone visited your town on a photo expedition, what should they see? Where should they go? What is worthy of a photograph?
This assignment will have a 6 month duration so you can make photos in winter, summer, and spring.
Due: July 11, 2003
Feel free to share your photos via this thread anytime :)

Most of the photos in my portfolio are of my town--- there is a sharp divide though-- there are Melbourne pics, and Footscray pics. They are 10 minutes apart, and boy what a difference 10 minutes makes. |
