Check out this link and tell me if you like my choice of music. Note: View at Original Size not large.

I've been searching high and low for music that captures the essence of the late 60's and 70's and this is what I came up with recently.

opinions and suggestion are welcome.

The way it sounds there is like late 80's covers.
But this is a really difficult song for me to judge. It is one of the songs sang during games by the Football club Ajax Amsterdam in a very different tone and tempo. One I prefer from what I hear at your presentation.

I love it. I have that Sly & the Family Stone CD. Nice choice to go with your slide show. I enjoyed watching and listening.

Edit to say...I actually bought the CD for that song.

I think the song works well with your images.
If you can adjust the timing on the slide show, you might be able to make it more effective with better choreography, timing slide changes to correspond to transitions in the music.

I first heard their version of the song on the movie "The Heathers". When was that? In the 80's?

LOL. Too funny.

I think it's a pretty hip version, myself. Released in 1973 I'd say it has the quintessential sound of that time.

I was shooting for a dark, slow, bluesy type of theme with some Hammond B3 Organ. Many of my images are kind of an homage to New York of the 70's, which is all but gone. So the music needed to be something you'd might hear in the movie Shaft, The Seven Ups, Taxi Driver, Super Fly, The French Connection, Blacksploitation etc.

Whatever it is...it needs to be slow.

I think you nailed it...given what you were trying to do, it is fresh and original,, and totally fits the homage to NYC in the 70's.

The musicâ€Â¦Ă˘€Â¦Outstanding, I was taken back to the 880 club pronounced (8-80 club) in Hartford. Good God I have been in Utah too long, I miss this kind of music. I would gladly pay for a higher quality edition of this.

Cool...cool..cool..

I knew a few people would get it. I thought the soulful blues and the contrasting, carefree message might lend and interesting dynamic to the images.

I will probably take three pix out of the mix to maintain more continuity that a few of them kinda throw off.

Thanx for the comments, so far. Cheers!
