I would love to be able to 'flag' certain photographers on this site to be on my 'watch' list... it could even be done from my favorite photographers list... I would love to receive a notification of some sort when these photographers upload something new to their portfolios :)

That would make the most sense - I'm not sure if it should be a general setting (either "alert me when one of my favorite photographers uploads a new photo" or not) or a per-person setting.... For my purposes, general would be great, but I'm not sure if that would meet everyone's needs.
It would be a nice addition to the favorites list, though - instead of having to click through and check periodically, it would let you know when there was something to see. |

Maybe we could add another group. Instead of favorites, make a "Notable photographers" group. Just put it in our favorites area. That way we don't need another heading or anything, it'd just be part of the favorites. It would at least make quick links to their profiles if nothing else. It would be cool to see how you've voted on their pictures too. I think it would be interesting to track the "up and coming" 15-20 yr olds who are making their mark on the site.
Great idea John. Or should I say another great idea?

I'd also like to see this somehow go hand in hand with new portfolio additions... even if the print isn't yet made available.

That would be an excelent feature. It seems it would add a lot of value to the portfolios, as pics added to portfolios are usually ignored unless brought up in the forums or something.

Maybe we should vote on the photographers achievement,like cameras 1-5 stars!
