I'm working on a project where I'll be interviewing professional athletes. I'm working on a list of questions to ask them, but the catch is that none of the questions can be sports-related. The point of the questions is to create some insight into the athlete's personality. The questions may be humorous or not. The questions/answers will be published, so they can't be crude, rude, or otherwise obnoxious. I have a list of about 25 questions so far, but I'm looking for some additional feedback...
Any thoughts?

What are their goals
How many hours a night do they sleep
How many pairs of shoes do they own, and what kind
What were their favorite childhood toys

What do they do for fun when they're not training or competing?
Where do they live? and, assuming they had a choice, why did they pick that place.
Last book they read?
Where did they grow up?
The best questions that give the most insight are the open ended questions like: Tell me about growing up there. etc
