The last one is my favorite. What a lovely series of shots! So is this a pet or is this man just really good with wild birds? Loved it - thanks for sharing!

oh, really? that's a compliment :D thanks!
it WAS a real bird, but they made it up on a piece of wood (I have no clue how that's called) |

lol i thought the bird looked a little stiff in the 1st and 2nd photo. But the last one still carries the magic. Great imagination and excellent job of carrying it off :)

it's too bad it's a seagull in the last of the series. i like the idea, and a well executed set.

Hmm I didn't realise it was so obvious that the flying bird is indeed a seagull ;)

Yea I was going to say I thought it was a seagull, not a crow. The shots are really cool except for that one thing :-)

ok, what to change to make it look like a crow?
(I don't have a flying crow near me to shoot and add ;))

That would be a stuffed bird; it would not be wood : )
Most carved wood birds are of ducks, and are used as decoys by hunters. Otherwise I think you'd call a carving of a bird a statue/statuette. Perhaps the most famous bird statue of all time is Dashiell Hammet's Maltese Falcon.
biteme: I'll try to find a picture of a flying crow for you ... |

the bird itself is real, not of wood, feathers and all are still on it.. it's just standing on a piece of wood.
@ General: that would be great, thanks :D |

Those shots are great! Is the man some kind of comedian or actor? His movements seem so slapstick. |

Totally cool,
The last one reminds me of Charlie Chaplin. I was wondering how it would look if done in a filmstrip series kind of like this (big image btw). I'm not sure if you'd leave out the words or not though, maybe you can find a cool way to insert them.
Again, very cool series.
