Messing with an old shot of my good friend Aneeka.
both completely different, just curious what you all think.

The dark one is a bit too dark and severe for the subject IMO. I like much better the softness and tones of the lighter one. BUT they are both great images! Others' mileage may vary.

One of the best things about the first picture is the lighting. I think with the dark one you lose all of that. The dark one also makes her look cramped.
The dark does have some colors going for it. The skirt colors seem to pop out a bit more and some of her skin tones seem richer, but my vote is the light version by far. I think overall it's just more pleasant to look at. It has a calming feel. |

First one is so much better and a beautiful photo!

I'd pick #1. The second one is a tad bit overprocessed and too surreal looking. As mentioned, the lighting in the shot is the most dramatic aspect to the image, but the light & shadows on her face are a bit chaotic.
my 2 cents anyway. |

Didn't read the other posts. I'd like to see something in between the two. Second one is a bit overdone.
