image grain ... Avg Vote: 6.2014
its amazing how a change of .1 can mean so much, or even .05!!! ... unless something really weird happens i'd say my image grain will stay around that score ... it hasnt really moved much like some of my other ones ...

i've already submitted for the colour portrait and the cell phone challenges ......

Giorgio, Roz, Smurf - good to see 3 scores above 6 :)

I'm afraid the best I can do this week is "Circle" shere I'm at around 5.9...

I've just submitted to color portrait but I don't expect to do any good here - portraits are not something I do a lot.

i'm thinking an update after 6 minutes is a bit obsessive !!! ...

but when i first looked at it about 3 hours after voting started it was 5.5000 so i thought it would probably stay around that score ... so i'm quite happy with its improvement ...

Usually an update within the same minute is considered aggressive. You might actually be passive with 6 minutes ... Click ... ;P

PS: I was trying to spy on Trigger Happy (our competition) but they don't post nearly as much as we do. On seconf thought - they recently posted and it looks close considering we're dealing with a score of 7+ from Strikeslip coming up.

It could be a nail-biter.

P.S. The update button is there for our use and enjoyment. There is no such thing as poinding on it too much. ;-)

Edit......... oops, I meant pounding, not poinding. Heheh.

Dang, Slippy - give us a break... I got a great shot in for this week!!! I'll be heartbroken if we're knocked out and it doesn't count. =)

It looks like it's going to be really close.

If we make it through â€Â¦ How's everyone's "portrait" ?
I'm at 6.29

I have no portrait, but I really love my Cell Phone shot. (Which typically means it'll get eaten alive, but you never know. =)

Is there a thread where the results get posted? And who will be awake in 11 hours and 10 minutes to calculate the winner?? =)
03/20/2007 01:09:23 PM · #892
Sorry I've been MIA everyone!

I'm in grain and portrait...well, they aren't doing so hot. Grain's at a 5.6 and portrait is...well... below a 5 :(

I just haven't been doing to well this season, sorry everyone.

I think Lisa did it manually last time several hours before WPL site was updated - she's on the west coast if i remember correctly.

-- hey, there she is! -- Are you on the West coast Lisa?

Yep! Well, not on the coast exactly...but I'm on pacific time. So I'm sure I'll be up at rollover time, and will probably be calculating the scores manually :) I'm a nerd like that!
03/20/2007 03:10:12 PM · #895
You're not the only nerd, Lisa... But I can't even figure out which week to calculate scores from. =)

However, I think the news is grim if they're hiding another 6 in one of the open challenges. =I

ARE THEY???! ... ? that happened last WPL! ...
03/20/2007 03:41:33 PM · #897
I said if they're hiding another 6. I don't know if they are, but it would suck. From what they wrote in their thread, they look like:

7.x + 6.4 + 5.4 + 5.0

That leaves a lot of room for improvement on those 5's, which is what makes me nervous...

I don't know what we have because our thread is too complicated. =)
03/20/2007 03:44:40 PM · #898
Hey - at least our thread is bigger than their thread! ...
And hey - we know their big score has a chance of DQ! :O

Anyway, let's get a report from Imagenation for this week:

My high is Circle at 5.8768

OTHERS! ...?!

My Image Grain is: 6.2579
03/20/2007 03:59:24 PM · #900
Here's what I can gather from our thread:

Roz: 6.2500 (grain)
George: 6.2579 (grain)
Jeff: 6.0078 (circle)
Stefan: 5.9256 (circle)
Tate: 5.8766 (circle)

Which puts us at about 24.89 total, and assuming a 7.3 for strikeslip, they're at 24.1.

The outlook is pretty grim, because they can no doubt pull out a 5.9 to replace the 5.0... unless they have low participation from those who didn't report in...
