beautiful colour and composition. Seems like a productive half hour in the woods.

Ooo, Beautiful!! Which lens(s) did you use, if you want to share? I love the DOF and focus and color. Is it the L series?

Thanks

Great shot here Mark - the pose is perfect.

You train your wild birds well.

yeah, the 70-200 f2.8L, so glad I sent back my 70-200 f4 IS and paid the extra for this lens.. worth its weight in gold (actually it probably is, lol)..

The first and third are definitely my favorites. Hard to pick just one over the other.

The distinct colors in the first one are wonderful, while I like the diffused glow in the third. The second has nice color, but it just doesn't do anything for me.

I like em big and brown!

nice shots Mark!

I also like them Small and blue. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? Some type of fly catcher, was acting identical to a phoebe like this one.

Could this be cropped tighter on the original? Be nice to see it fill the frame more..

Thanks for responding. I have the 70-200 f4.0L (No IS) and it often amazes me. I am starting to recognize photos taken with L series lenses here and there. I do think there is a difference especially with little or no processing done on the photo. Maybe someday I will trade up to the 70-200 f2.8L, but for now I have a lot to learn about basic photography.

Hope to see more beautiful shots like these!
