Well it's been discussed before and will continue to be forever. For One I got a pretty good score in the Feb Free study, pleased with it. BUT still a little perplexed on how it got a "1" or even how other very good photos got "1's".
.
Now the way I see it, a free study has not subject so it's impossible to DNMC. It's impossible to be ouside of the box. Anything goes. Just like a long list of "10's" is not right also.
So here's my example.
.
So my guess is we have a troll who is color prejudice, doesn't like kids, is a rich kid who doesn't like those in poverty, doesn't like school uniforms etc etc etc. It can't be the quality of the photo, it's not perfect but definately not bad. All I can see is the voter must not not like black kids who are school kids wearing uniforms in a poor country. Shame on you.
.
I hope the SC's are tracking the "1's" in the top 20 pics of each challenge and seeing if there is a standard few who are just trouble makers.
.
So no I'm very happy, the troll does not bother me at all. They are just plain not very responsible. It applies to many of the top 10 or 20 photos. Life is great! |

I, personally think you are on a bit of a stretch ... it could just be someone that is paying back the world for their previous low scores or just trying to lower everyone else's score but their own. I would not sweat it ... there are gonna be ones given and mostly I would like to think that most of them are not for personal reasons or any kind of prejudice ... there are LOTS of images that don't contain kids of any color or any depiction of poverty that get 1's. Just look through some of the Blue Ribbon winners that include images of things that NO ONE could be prejudiced against.
It is ONE person's opinion and they have a right to it. Even if they think that every image that is not sepia tone deserves a one vote.
P.S. ... for example ... tell me how THIS image could have possibly deserved 2 ones ...

Or, and I know this is a wee bit out there, but give it a few seconds and see if it might be possible.
Perhaps they just didn't like the photo ?
I know that's harder to grasp than some global conspiracy or trolls dispelling racist opinions. I can certainly get behind the notion of someone voting with a silver spoon in the mouth and hating on the poor people voting a 1 as well.
But maybe, just maybe, someone didn't like it much. |
