Main questions people will be asking about my entry:
- What was he thinking of?
- Why did he submit it?
- Where is the button to score 1? |

Main questions I'm asking are:
What the hell am I going to shoot?
Will I get arrested shooting it?
Will I agree with Rob and score him 1?

I think this topic means we will see just about everything. Any shot can leave unanswered questions. A face could easily do that.
I just put mine in-- I don't expect it to fair well this time, but I really love this photo. |

no, this isnt my submission:) but it is the shot that inspired this challenge .. twas one of the many i took shooting for the america 24/7 weeklong contest :)
i found this shoe lying on the sidewalk in downtown washington, dc. it's not a great shot or anything but it triggered the idea of 'unanswered questions' :)

Suggestion:
Don't use the title to show the question that you think is 'unanswered' in this challenge... Let the viewer have the freedom of determining what is 'unanswered'...

...and be prepared for a whoe slew of "doesn't meet challenge. 1." comments.
I agree that yours is a more creative way to meet the challenge, but somehow subtlety seems lost here, lately.

i agree.. I was thinking of the title, then I chose to go without one...
We're not all stupid, we don't need everything explained |

i totally agree. . . .
i almost think that the best 'unanswered questions' pictures will be untitled. just a pure mystery presented :).

I have it narrowed down to 3 photos at the moment my questions to ask at this point are...
Which one?
Will anyone understand it?
What to title it so it will work?
What will my final score be?
Now the real answers to those questions.
Doesn't matter which one I pick someone won't like it.
Some will, some won't understand.
No matter the title some don't care.
I will score at least a 1.
So I guess those aren't unanswered question now are they...lol

For some reason I can't wait to vote on this challenge and see what you all have come up with... This sounded so interesting!

My current unanswered question is, "What do I think I'm doing, entering that picture?"
Sigh. I suppose that's not unanswered. I'm stubborn.
And I'm also looking forward to seeing what others have come up with! I have a photo that I think would be PERFECT for this challenge but was taken over a year ago. Of course, I don't remember how it was technically but I think it was okay. Assuming I can find where it got to on my hard drive and it doesn't make me wince, I'm going to put it in my portfolio after the challenge is over.
(No resemblance between it and what I went with this time - I just don't want to confuse the issue so will wait till the challenge ends.) |
