Name the 50 states in less than 10 minutes
My first try: 4:28 (there was still 5:32 on the clock)

I made it in 5:53! Damn the spelling of Mass. took me forever.

Yeah, it's kind of a geography, spelling and typing test, all rolled in to one!

I know them all by heart in alphabetical order, but spelling was a whole 'nother issue. Took me until 57 seconds left to spell massachusetts and connecticut.

| nope. I did it in 5 minutes down to the last 4. I got the next 3 over the next 3 minutes and then finally at 9 minutes had to look at a blank map to think of the one I missed. (I think I had blocked out too many bad experiences in Newark.) |

Spelling was a bitch! Memory is gone. Left 11.

okay, got it to 5:45 left. I kept typing in 10 states at a time without looking up and I would keep screwing up on something 8 states back. damn dsylxeia :)

Where's the damn spell checker when you need it!!!!
Edit: Time ran out and I couldn't spell 3, Hawaii, mass, Louisiana, and forgot 2 in my mental map: Utah and I was typing Montana in as the friggin time ran out. I never learned them in school alphabetized. But I do have a visual map of the states in my head. With age some of the states hide from me. hehehhee

I have 3 daughters all in their 20's. They learned all the states in a song too. I guess they didn't have that song back in the "old days" when I was a kid. :( |

I think as a Canadian I did pretty good. I ran out of time because I couldn't spell Massachusetts and I forgot Montana, Nebraska, Wisconsin & Wyoming.
I wonder how many Americans could name all 10 of Canada's province and the 3 territories?

yeah. i left off New Jersey, too...
i also left off Indiana and Nebraska, the latter of which is where my parents currently live.
doh.
oh. and i cheated on the spelling of mass and conn....

It's actually 'Northwest Territories' (;oP) and Nunavut is new in the past few years.
Now list them in order from East to West. ;o)
