Every single week.
If you can use your creativity in a way that would make Shannon proud, maybe you have a shot at the blue he usually picks up... ;) |

I was || this close to shooting a photo of a chessboard with a fruit and a vegetable on it for Acronyms, and titling it DNMC.

Great idea! Count me in. On my "Fruits" entry, I had a few commentors that said that it looked like a Scalvert entry... even from Shannon himself! :-) I got lucky with that one. He somehow is a creative genius week after week!

ROFL! Wait... so the special rules mean if I don't vote and comment on every entry, then I would be DQ'd from a challenge I can't even enter? Hmm... that's pretty harsh! |

Thinking outside the box...
I could just go through after the challenge is over and DQ three people a day until everyone had a ribbon (briefly). ;-P |

Sounds like great FUN! Just about everything I know of photography comes from personal experience & direct observation of great photographers. (I know that the myriad Ansel Adams books in my library put me "on par" with many photographers.)
Where do I sign up & post my photo?
Running the Risk of having this entry sound like "Hero Worship" (which it's not), I just want to reemphasize the fact that I recognize who the amazing photographer's are on this site, including Scalvert. Thanks for the things that I have already learned! I still expect to create photos on your level one day.

it would be cool to have challenges inspired by our lead photographers on the site, such as scalvert, larus, librodo, kiwininess....
maybe a monthly thing. i mean we have challenges that relates to other great photographers like the street photography challenge, why not stick to what we have here :) |

I LOVE the idea! There are tribute challenges to Ansel Adams for example, so why not Scalvert?
Maybe you all can hold off until the fall when I actually get my digital camera... |
