I have had photos in my portfolio for 6 months that have around 115 hits. I uploaded this picture a couple of days ago and it is already at 116... Wondering if it was linked in a forum somewhere or from another site... Or is DPC's counters going to the funk? Maybe you can help me solve the mystery.,

Have you seen this photo in a thread here or someplace else? I am just curious how it got so many hits in such a short time. Very abnormal activity for my portfolio.

No, haven't seen it in any forums here. But I did give it another hit. Good shot of the kids having fun!

It's a cute shot. I don't think those hits are too outrageous.

No, I think what happened is -- alot of people go regularly to the "recently downloaded" photos -- this one just happens to be a standout in the cute factor -- and everyone wanted a closer look !

It's such an adorable, happy, fun photo! Well deservied of all the peaks :)

This one of Jon's images is the best one of these 'phantom hits' images. 164,571 views and counting. Must be the most viewed image on the site.

the thing is i uploaded it about 2 days ago. as of lastnight it only had 13 hits. I even commented to my wife that that was alot of hits for one of my photos in only a few days time. It seems burried pretty far back in the recent uploads section to get that many hits overnight. But I am not going to sweat it. I am very happy that people like the photo. I like it also which is why I uploaded it in the first place.
Thanks for the help everybody.

edit to change, I uploaded it 2 almost 3 days ago not 4.

Hold on to your hat. Do a google search on trompin.
You may have your answer. Look about 4 or 5 down.

Edit: The second or third link is an image of a little girl
in almost the same shot.
