OK I've got a question. What if I used one of my photos from this collection in the February Free Study? Would that be wrong?

Day 25 - Post Box
Yesterday was a phone box, today is a mail box. Both red, but I didn't do the selective (or any) desat today. This is a pretty standard rural post box for my neck of the woods here in Norfolk, England (can't tell too much about other places).
Sorry I haven't commented in the last day or so; been a bit buried this weekend, but the wife wants to watch Oscar stuff tonight, so I may have some time later ;)

P.S. Karen, you might try sending a PM to  karmat (she's an SC member) and see what she says; I have the same question based on everyone's response to one of my posts for a different current challenge (she's been posting in this project, which is why I suggest her).

Settler's Rock
This image is not beautiful or all that interesting, but it does have significance, and therefore a uniqueness, to it regarding my town. It is part of the history of where I live. Most of the story is in the notes accompanying the image. |

hmmm, i personally wouldn't have a prob with it....cept maybe we would recognize it and, since we all have bonded with each other in a kumbayah kinda way we would feel obliged to vote higher for you then we would if we did not know who had submitted it? dunno...i know i personally am considering retaking my lemon picture if there is a suitable challenge as i have grown quite fond of it...

Day 25 at Waverly Hills Sanatorium
The hospital, known as Waverly Hills, was opened in 1926 and was considered to be the most advanced tuberculosis hospital in the country. If a patient had any chance of surviving the disease, Waverly Hills was the place to come for treatment. Of course, treatment in those days was primitive at best, meaning that many simply came here to die. In those days, it was believed that the best cure for tuberculosis was plenty of nutritional food, plenty of rest and plenty of fresh air. Many patients came to Waverly and were actually cured and became well enough to once again enter society. For those not as fortunate, Waverly was the last place they ever saw. Records have been lost, but it is estimated that tens of thousands died at Waverly. At the height of the tuberculosis epidemic, it is reported that one patient an hour died.
This is how it looked when it was new (obviously not taken by me)

I have been falling behind with my posting and commenting this last week. I have been without a car to get out and take photos so I am mixing it up a little here with an old shot and two new shots. I am hoping to catch up on some commenting yet tonight.
Let me join in saying that I have really enjoyed getting a glimpse of where everyone lives!! Keep up the great photos!

Day 25 Springfield, Mo
Were having kind of blah weather today, not great for photos. So this is a blah photo. But it shows downtown Springfield from a distance. As you can see it is pretty old. But they are in the process of rebuilding it.There are lots of Clubs and Resturants and some neat art gallerys. So it has a nice atmosphere.

It was a fun afternoon, and no, I didn't get wet or muddy, but only because I didn't have a toy there.
Here is another of the swampy Floridasunsets that I always enjoy shooting.

no problem, just hide it for now. we're only a tiny portion of the voting community, and i think the majority of people vote honestly. i've seen many images where i knew the artist - whether it be through stle or self-portraiture etc, but still gave them an honest vote.
