 My first attempt at photographing a baby - I opted for a super shallow dof to try and disguise the cradle-cap/scurf in his eyebrows! Useful pointers for ways to improve in future shots greatly apreciated. |

This eagle landed on a limb outside my home office window. I set up my 70-200 VR along with the 1.7x TC and still had to crop this about 50% or more. Sad thing is he just sat there until it started to get dark and when he flew I was up to ISO 800 and shooting at 1/500 (i needed the speed for the filght) so it came out about 1 stop underexposed. I ran it through Noise Ninja but the noise was horrible by time I got done editing so I had to run it through Noise Ninja again.
I was pretty miffed that I stood there all that time and got a shot that only looks decent when this small. Oh well. Next time.

Ethan, my youngest, had to sit out of the Pikes Peak Judo Tournament because he has a broken leg...
This is a series of three shots of Josh (my oldest) executing a sweep for Ippon score (match win). Ippon is when you throw an opponent on their back with force and control. These photos don't show it well, but this was a very forceful move and was an automatic match win.
