Hi Judi,
I am here in my favorite city of Sydney.....
I am at present looking out of a full set of a of clear glass windows from floor to ceiling, overlooking the Opera House, and also the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and all the city lights are on, as I write this to you. I can't believe that I am here. I can't wait ubtil the 22nd of February to see everyone. Firsty (Keith) is picking me up on the day. I am so excited and can't wait.
Peter big day is tomorrow, and we are just so pleased it is finally here. He celebrates his birthday as well tomorrow, so we are going to celebrate that again in a proper birthday style, when his treatment is all over. I plan to take him to the musical, "Pricilla Queen of the Desert", hopefully before we go back home to Queensland, in two to three months time.
I promise to take some great photos for you Judi, and also for Amy.

hi everyone ..
i dont have internet coz it was destroyed in huge storm so i've gotta do all my dpc stuff on other ppl's computers ... its a real pain ...
we went to Darling Harbour yesterday because if i can make it on thursday i wanted to be able to get to the car park without getting lost ...
we were there for 10 hours!! ... its an unreal place to take photographs .. i'm in the 30 day where you live challenge so i've put a couple of the photographs i took yesterday in there ... i used up 4x1gb memory cards ... i was shooting in RAW so its not as bad as it sounds!! ... get about 40 - 50 shots on each card ...
on saturday nights they do fireworks ... but by that time i was totally photographed out .. they were pretty spectacular tho ...
went to the Chinese Gardens and the Sydney Aquarium ..
the Chinese Gardens cost $6 for adults and $3 of you have kids .. the Aquarium was pretty steep at $27.50 each ..
i'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and talking about photographs and cameras till i'm blue in the face ... my family and friends are over it ...

Good/bad news - I got the new job in Sydney, but the 22nd is my last day at work at my current job (which is 5 hours south of sydney) so I won't be able to make it.
Edit - Oh yeah, I've changed my user name from "Dr_Timbo" to just plain "Tim". Sorry for any confusion...

Roz, I was at Darling Harbour on Sunday, with my sister and my sister in law. We got there at 3pm, and left at 6pm. I wish I knew you were there but can't wait to meet you on Thursday.

Not to far if one has a zoom lens. We saw the Queen Mary come in today from our balcony.
Thank heaps for your email Lisa, and can't wait to meet you on Thursday.

We're going to miss the Queen Mary - it sails out tonight for Hong Kong.
Looking forward to catching up with everybody on Thursday, at this stage I should be in Darling Harbour by 10am at the lastest. I have a couple of mobile numbers so will catch up with you as soon as I can.

We had the best view of the fireworks tonight, over looking the Opera House, a couple of hours before the largest cruise liner, the Queen Mary, left Sydney Harbour.
Brett, re brettt83 and his lovely wife Liz, came around to see us at our appartment.
Both he and I, will be at our get to-gether this Thursday, and we can't wait..... |
