OK..I have been thinking..
I think the trolls watch the scores posted threads to see the results, You know, to enjoy seeing who they hit, and who is complaining.
Now I have done it myself, gone to the forum to bemoan a sudden drop in score, shook fist in the cyber air and shouted "damn trolls!!"
So I have decided that I will no longer announce these painful 1's and 2's that inevitably pile up between 12:01 and 1 am ( approx)
I am just thinking it may be fuel for the trolls fire. We all know those couple of votes don't amount to much in the long run, but they are ever so dramatic in the early hours of voting. So if no one publicly talks about it, maybe, Just maybe, it will become less fun for the people who find sport in trolling.
I will prolly still post scores, but I'll no longer give publicity to the sorry trolls :)

| hahahaha that's funny, i like how people talk about trolls as if there are creatures on this website that lurk around and give a bad score. i would have a better idea, let's come up with a troll poison and get rid of them once and for all, this way everyone will score 6 and up:) |

What makes a troll? A newbie? I am new and I try to vote and comment as much as I can - average vote = 5.8770 from 244 votes. Am I too harsh?

i've given thousands of votes and my average given is only 4.77.
i think there's a difference between looking at a photo and thinking:
"oh my god, that's horrid. 1"
and thinking:
"hehehehe!! let's give 1s and 2s and weeee!!!!! i'm a retarded troll"
as rae-ann is pointing out ... trolls are people who intentionally give bad scores to try and skew the results or get a rise out of the challenge participants.
the only way to stop it is saying that all scores from 1-3 MUST be accompanied by a comment. that calls the trolls out!! :)

You know, I was sitting here thinking... if the "trolls" hit everyone with a 1 or 2 vote, the only thing it hurts is the bottom line (top score is lower, etc...) because the votes are averaged.
So, Rae-Ann is probably right, they probably do it to watch everyone's reactions...
