Hello fellow DPC'ers. I just wanted to announce that last night, I proposed to my girlfriend Renae. She gave me a very definitive "maybe". Alright, she actually said yes. =)

We were out for supper with her parents. We were having cake in celebration of her brother and father's birthday's. I got up to take a picture of the family then asked her to get up so that we could get our picture taken together.
Her response was "No, I'm eating my cake."
"Please come here?"
"NO! I am eating my cake"
While gritting my teeth "I think you should come here ...now please?"
She sighed in frustration and got up. She then realized what I was doing.

As her dad was focusing on us I got down on one knee and popped the question. Her brother and sister-in-law who were eating their cake realized that hey...something important might be going on.

Suffice to say there was a lot of congratulations and the phone has been off the hook today. (Good thing we had taken today off).

Thanks guys! I am not sure when we are actually going to get married. Sometime in the 2000's we think. At some point we may narrow it down to a decade. =)

Thanks again!

CONGRATULATIONS..where are the pictures?

Now you have the most difficult decision to make...do you hire a photographer or do the wedding shots yourself with a remote. Sounds like a perfect time for a DPC get together.

Okay, somebody already said it, but... :-)

And one for you to pass on to the lucky girl:

I look forward to welcoming you to the old mans club. You can tell the members, they've all got wives.

Yes dear is a useful phrase, the other one is "It was my fault, dear."

Way to go man!
