I am using the excel spreadsheet that I think Konador did up. Is there a way to change info in the cells? I made a mistake typing in the vote and now I can't change it, it asks me for a password. Anyone know?

Hi Karen,

I think if you just click on the cell and hit "Delete" you should be OK. Otherwise, try right clicking and "Clear Contents" and see if that works.

No I tried everything I could think of....it says "the cell you are trying to change is protected and therefore read-only. To modify...blah...blah...remove protection....blah...blah....you may be prompted for a password".

It won't let you simply type over the contents of the cell, either?

Nope, it always pops up that error when I try.

Yeah well heres the deal their protected... i dont remember how cells are protected in excel worksheets but the ONLY thing u can do is the exact oposite of how they were protected. search around try right clicking look throught he menus and whatnot.

ANy other attempts are futile!

It's possible that certains cells are protected. to remove this:

tools/protection/remove protection

then you should be able to change all the data in all the cells you want unless the guy that made the sheets did put a password wich will be asked to you when you click on remove protection.

Tried that, it asks for a password.

I think it's time to rough up Ben ...

Hmm, the only other thing I can think of is to download it again, and copy/paste the stuff before the entry that was inadvertently entered incorrectly.

The next version of that spreadsheet won't have password protection; I understand it's caused a few people some trouble.

If I could remember what it was, I'd just tell you. Sorry! :)

Yeah, let's all gang up on Ben! Except, it's not his fault, it's mine. :(

Ah well it's time for me to go to bed, 11:30 here. No big deal, just thought there might be an easy way to change it. Good night all!
