Happy Valentines Day DPC.

I thought it would be fun to have a thread and just find out what everyone gets up to on Valentines Day. Valentines Day is celebrated in so many ways...some people get pressies, some don't, some people hide, some go out and celebrate. What do you do?

Oh and watch out...cupid might just be lurking around the corner.

Judi, that is a beautiful photo! Your hard work paid off. I love it!!!

Happy vday to you too.

Me and the hubby attempted to get reservations for tomorrow night...and the only way we could was to eat dinner at 3:30 pm. So, we're going to stay in, have some wine, cook ourselves dinner, and probably watch tv! :)

And there you have it.

:)

I'm delaying it by a few days so I can get my dear wife some nice things - flowers and chocolate - when I get paid.

Sounds like you have a special day planned Magenmarie. Delta...that is just so sweet.

I hope there are a few more out there who are going to be celebrating...or maybe know of a good story to share.

My day is pretty boring. I love Valentines Day..but it doesn't love me. I usually get forgotten. I gave my husband a card and a $50voucher for the local music store...so he can choose his own music for his ipod. I believe we might be going out for lunch (maybe), after I have done my standard Wednesday shoot...on a large building site. Fun!

So that's my day. What's yours?

I'll be flying to Venice early in the morning with my wife where we'll spend 8 days at the Venice Carnival :)

A quiet night, a bottle of wine, low lights, me and Ms D200 ... we'll see where things go.

A couple of years back my friend decided that after being single for so many Valentines Days, that he officially claimed V-Day as Gore-Fest. He plays the most violent and bloody video games, watches horror flicks. I may join him this year. Rebel against the Hallmark Holidays!

I am honestly happy for all of you who will enjoy tomorrow. I think we need more days in the year to celebrate romance, as it seems to be lost in our western culture.

I abandoned Valentine's day years ago, for all the usual reasons. Which is good, since I have a full day of work and a full evening of school.

But now I want to go to Venice....

My question remains - do you want me to show up ONE day out of the year, or do you enjoy that I show up EVERYDAY of the year?

Seriously: a nice dinner at home, quiet fire, some wine and oddly enough we like to look through our photo albums from the 11 years we have been together.
