I am leaving in a few minutes with the hope of getting a good fruit or veggie photo. Wish me luck. I have an idea, but I have no idea how it will materialize.

So I took a bunch of shots, and ended up liking one. And I took that one with my little point and shoot. So, do I have to use the D50 to enter during the WPL, or can I switch cameras? :)

10am: idea arrives in head. At work so I have to wait to start to get materials. 7:30 - 9:00 pm pick up materials and set up. Take 100 shots of crap and one good one. 9:30- 9:45 post process and enter. Whew.... Who knows? I like it but hate studio work.... (Learned alot about camera though.)

allright so my shot for fruits and stuff is very creative, at least i am very very happy with it, i 've been thinking about it for the whole week. even if it does not score high i am proud of that pic,so let's wait and see :)

And really, that's all that matters! Strangely, I took a ton of shots of what I had planned to take, and then one other random one... and THAT was the shot that made me stop to look when I was going through them.

to be on team D50 you have to have a D50, but that does not mean you should exclusivley use it ;)

my bad score is holding to 5.45

higher than my average so i am ok with it, but personification.... that's a whole different story:( that's the price you pay when you have a good idea, but you are in a rush

Personification 5.3.... Good 5.8... I like my fruits and veggy entry. We'll be fine. (I'm really having a lot of fun and thinking much more about my photography!)I do need some light advice... I'll probably go and pick out a book this week.

You know what I do since I can't afford lighting? I use super low light and really long exposure times, and I get some very cool results. I find that when I try and light directly with my crappy lights, I get really horible results, and lots of blown highlights.

These were all really long exposures where I liked how the light came out. All I used for any of these was a light in a closet around the corner from where the shot was set up. Then I just closed the door until I liked how the light came out. It just takes a really long time to complete a shoot!

The rules for the WPL state that no substitutions are allowed once the season has started, but you're more than welcome to join in the chat in the thread! :)

I thought I would get a 5.5. I awoke to a 5.0! So it looks like a very low 5 for me this round. I am actually sort of shocked at just how low this score is. It is better than a high 4 low 5 for sure. Oh well.

Ok, guys...that's the last time I put in a last minute entry... I just kicked myself in the shin really hard as a reminder. :oP I can do so much better. LoL

In any case...my big move is in 2 days, so not sure I can get anything in for either school days challenge, but I will definitely have one in the Street Photograhy challenge as well as in the free study.
