The processing is great....

I have one question that I'm sure has been asked a billion times.

Do you have to actually shoot many frames at different exposures or can you shoot a raw and use it over and over at different exposures?

Left you some comments, and yes, I like what you have done here very much.....

with photomatix you can use one raw easily(just go to file->open) with photshop you can do it but it is a little more difficult. but in short yes you can with one raw

My camera cannot shoot raw so I have to shoot a series of shots at different exposures ... I hear that coming from one raw image can be close but never quite equal multiple images at different exposures, but I wouldn't know.

Thanks for the comments! ... I LOVE this ... This is only my first serious attempt but you can bet I am gonna be doing LOTS more of this!

best tutorial I have seen yet, and according to them, No - you cannot just shoot a single raw and use it over and over.

I have to try this soon!

I never saw that one ... not detailed but gives you the gist ...

Ok ... people DO use one raw image adjusted but it cannot compete with several shots at different exposures.

Shez ... I hope all will go as well as possible for you and Peter and you can look at my portfolio for The Bridge which I just added. I have plans to do a triptych of my mother-in-law's gorgeous orchids this weekend using this HDR technique that I think you will really love.

Looks really good Greetmir. Especially for a first attempt (which it doesn't look like at all). I look forward to seeing more from you.

I have enjoyed watching you experiment with HDR Greetmir. I did a search online for some reading materials, and tomorrow morning, I have a long trip scheduled and would love to do some in-depth reading on this, and then maybe experiment with it myself over the upcoming weekend. Would you recommend any reference materials online that I could cut-and-paste into a Word doc (notwithstanding copyright issues)? Anyone else too - please. I leave in a couple of hours.

And btw, congrats on your new pb this evening Greetmir.

EDIT to add: Not looking for the highly technical - more the technique and practice/examples stuff.

Thanks a million Greetmir - maybe I'll have some stuff to show off when I get back.
