so i do this sometimes on the side.

just wondering everyones thoughts on this photo

Considering the amount of backlighting I think you did a great job on the exposure. Cropped a little tight for my taste on the neck side of the bass though.

I see some funky banding going on... oh wait... that's his hair :-)

I like it a lot. :-) Dude, that's an old-school synth he's playing.

evanh has some great examples of band photography that you might look to for some processing/posing ideas, as well.

i see no live bands shot on his page?!
and itd be hard to pose a live concert

I see no need to go any further that BobsterLobster - if you can't get some great ideas from his portfolio then you are either blind or dead.

And there was also a live music learning thread that he did a while ago - search the forums and it should pop up pretty easy.
