Ever wonder what makes a great photographer? Well, a great photographer is definitely only great in the minds of those who see the greatness.

Great photography is more than simply understanding the camera and the technical aspects of making photos. Great photography, like great art, involves a mindset as well. Getting inside the thoughts of 'great' photographers could offer some extra insight into how they do what they do.

If you want in the mind of a great photographer, don't come anywhere near me! :-)

I think what separates the good from the better, adn the better from the best is the ability to not only visualize what you want to capture, but capture it in such a way that the viewer goes "wow, i wanna see that!" They capture the image in such a way that the viewer attention is directed to it, and then holds on just a few more minutes to study it. The reaction can be positive or negative, but there is a definite reaction (probably depending on what you are looking for and how you want to react).

I still feel that dedication and drive are two very important factors.
