So I'm super behind now from this work trip! I thought I'd have more time to shoot but it ended up being not just meetings and going back to the hotel room to be the oddball and shoot photos by myself but to actually going out ot dinner and bowling and other fun stuff!
lol. so it was worth it. |

Go red for Women (today)
Way wide (when I put the 11-18mm I tend to leave it on for a while) It is "Go Red for Women" day so I was sporting my red oakleys (shoes). |

No, trial and error. Beforehand I've decided on a lighting setup, then I set up the camera, then I get in front of the camera for a few test shots. After that I generally know where I'm supposed to be, and whether or not focus works. For more difficult setups, I ask Alex to stand in for me to help frame. |

Thanks Louis! That's pretty much what I have been doing as well! :) I find the hardest thing to achieve is focus on the eyes when using a shallow DoF. The auto focus tends to focus on the nose and eyebrows, so once the camera has finished focusing, I will move my head slightly forward and hopefully move my eyes into the field of focus . A lot of trial and error and lots of shots! :)
