What POP up adds is DPC trying to display???
I use pop up stopper and have noticed lately that when I leave DPC and go to my web page (or a blank start up page) I get the little pop up notice that it blocked a pop up add

DPC does not display popup ads... however, there are some elements of this site that do not work properly for me when I have a popup ad blocker running... |

Absolutely none. DPC doesn't do ads. Strange that this is happening. It's not from DPC though. I wonder if it's a "Messenger Service" ad. Try running adaware (adaware.com, I think) This will get rid of any spyware pop up things...There is also a way to get rid of those Messenger Service popups too. i'll post how to get rid of those in a minute. gotta look it up. |

If you get Grey pop ups that are titled "Messenger Service" here is how you can stop those from coming up.
-- Click on the Start button in the taskbar
-- Open Control Panels
-- Go to "Administrative Tools" (XP users may need to go to "Performance and Maintenance" first, then "Administrative Tools")
-- Double-click on "Services"
-- Scroll down to "Messenger"
-- Double-click on "Messenger"
-- Change the Startup type to "Disabled"
-- Click "Stop" to stop the service
I know a lot of people that get these, and are thourally annoyed by them. You have a pop up stopper, but this will help someone that doesn't. |

Try running AdAware on your machine. Get it from Lavasoft. It could be some bad software that got on your computer that is trying to insert ads in web pages. |

You are the best Heather. I just switched internet providers and I get those stupid Messenger ones every five minutes or so. |
