it"s amazing it dosn"t matter what the challenge is U always see pictures of babies all over the place.
Now im sure that those babies mean a lot to their parents but do we really have to whatch pictures of babies all over the place.
What is it with parents that have a need to show a picture of their babies to all the world (mostly when there is no conection (or a very loose one) to the challenge they are being submitted to? Is that the maximum creativity those parent photographers can come up with?

Well I use my baby when Woody refuses to model for me.

Now let's talk about all the bad spellers out there... ;-)

Personally I am allergic to babies, or children for that matter. (Which would explain why I am still single)
But that is just me. If someone wants to take a pic of a baby, so be it.

Babies... ?????

Are people giving away babies.. I'll take one
Send em my way........... :)

Meh.. i think if people figure their kids fit into the challenge.. then so be it.. it takes all of us to make the world go round and I enjoy looking at a baby picture just as much as anything. :)

I don't have a problem with baby pics. If someone can fit them into a challenge then good luck to them! My wife loves taking photos of babies and I enjoy looking at what she's taken. She has entered a few herself.

And yes, I agree with Ken.....bad spellers! ;)

angel crayon says, "this is a photography site and everyone is free to submit and share anything they wished as long as they adhere to the site rules"

devil crayon says, "babies? yawn..."

neutral crayon says, "i enjoy some of them, and couldn't care less about the rest of them"

For a long time we saw very few babies, then a baby broke through not that long ago (can't remember which challenge offhand) and scored very well. Then bingo, all the baby-holders got inspired to risk their preciouses in challenges again, and we have babies up the kazoo for a while :-) Same thing happened with full-face portraits of cats, which went on a marked upswing after a strong challenge showing not long ago, though they seem to have tapered off again. Then there was tone mapping, which was all OVER the place for a while, and may be fading back a little now. The cycles are wonderful to watch :-)

it"s amazing it doesn"t matter what the challenge is U always see pictures of sunsets all over the place.
Now im sure that those sunsets mean a lot to their viewers but do we really have to whatch pictures of sunsets all over the place.
What is it with viewers that have a need to show a picture of their sunsets to all the world (mostly when there is no conection (or a very loose one) to the challenge they are being submitted to? Is that the maximum creativity those viewer photographers can come up with?

it"s amazing it dosn"t matter what the challenge is U always see pictures of flowers all over the place.

it"s amazing it dosn"t matter what the challenge is U always see pictures of lanscapes all over the place.

Basic MAK says - Let's have a BABY challenge

Advanced MAK says - Let's have a baby pets with flowers macro challenge

Normal MAK says - kids are beautiful and if people want to SQUEEEEEZE them into every challenge then go ahead, but pay the price should it fall foul to the voters scorn without complaint

My babies are 18 now so.... maybe time for another *punch from wife*

Maybe not.

it"s amazing it doesn"t matter what the challenge is U always see pictures of boobies all over the place.
Now im sure that those boobies mean a lot to the teenage boys but do we really have to whatch pictures of boobies all over the place.
What is it with exhibitionists that have a need to show a picture of their boobies to all the world (mostly when there is no conection (or a very loose one) to the challenge they are being submitted to? Is that the maximum creativity those perverted photographers can come up with?

Wellllllll. . . .there's certainly a time and place for baby pictures (maybe not in a nude challenge) but. . . .most people's hearts are touched by baby anythings: animals, people. . .so that's why you find them every place -- because people like them and generally, if they are done well, they score well.

So there.

Well some peopel get started in photography by taking pics of their kids (I did) and Child photography is BIG buisness people love good creative pics of thier kids. while I dislike pics of kids just for the cuteness factor, I know Im guilty of doing that too, I TRY not to use my Kid as a challange subject but he is my most photographed topic, and if I get a shot of him that matches a challange then wht go out and find something diffrent when I have one I like on hand.
