Hey guys,
I need to do some printing off a canon pixma 9000. It will work with either 11x14 or 11x17 size. I do not want to print the 13x19. I was hopeing you could give me some direction on what is a good quality paper to use as its for a gallery hanging.

| CompUSA has a good selection of large format papers including matte and gloss finishes. |

I usually buy either HP Premium Plus Gloss Paper or the Fuji equivalent. I've found that the Fuji paper works really well and give great results on my HP printer.

| Ilford make wonderful paper in 11X17, I like the smooth pearl, kind of a semigloss with a luster look.link |

I would be careful about using HP paper. HP paper on an HP printer is probably excellent, but HP uses different technologies in their print heads and you probably won't get the same type of performance with bleed rates etc...
For Canon/Epson, I've heard that the best stuff is generally the Ilford Gallerie Classic Pearl or some of their other papers. Best for bleed control, color accuracy, and fade resistance/print longevity. |

Thanks everyone for your help. I was thinking about the Ilford Gallerie Classic Pearl, but wasnt sure of the quality. I am thinking of trying to resize the photo onto a 13x19 and then cut it out. Because I do agree with[user] jblaylockrayner [/user]that the Canon Photo paper is amazing.

| I spent several hours reading up on different papers specifically with the fading issues. Ilford was the name that came out on top. |

I have found RedRiverPapers to provide superior quality papers and inks for photographic prints. I've never been disappointed with their product. Like it better than Canon's papers. And, they are priced competitively.

Just tried some yesterday and it looks sweet printed with Pixma ip6000d. |
