(Note that I searched first but didn't readily see the answer I was looking for)
In the Statistics section of my profile I notice the total Votes Cast figure is less than the number of votes I'd given in just a single challenge last week ... let alone representative of what my aggregate votes cast count should be.
I see these stats are updated once per week, however it didn't seem to register all the votes I handed the prior week (supposedly updated on 1/17). And yet the Comments Received count seems accurate to the minute (real-time).
Someone care to expound upon this (probably for the millionth time on DPC)? Are vote counts only updated/registered once a challenge's voting period ends perhaps? :)
My Stats as of now ...
Challenges Entered: 1
Votes Cast: 208
Avg Vote Cast: 5.7452
Votes Received: 291
Avg Vote Received: 5.6323
Comments:
Made: 150
Helpful: 116
Received: 34
Helpful: 34
Yet, just from the currently awaiting votes challenges (not sure if all of these were cast prior to 1/17, but I know a chunk of them were) ...
Stats: You have rated 217 of 218 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 53 images (24%) in this challenge.
Stats: You have rated 210 of 245 images (86%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 38 images (16%) in this challenge.
Stats: You have rated 127 of 128 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 1 images (1%) in this challenge.
Stats: You have rated 232 of 705 images (33%) in this challenge.
(still working on this monster!)

votes cast do not show up on your profile screen until after each challenge is over.

| Underneath the stats box, if you read the fine print, it says: Stats are computed weekly. These stats were generated |

Thanks Chris. I did notice that fine print and noted it in my original post. In fact, that's why I was surprised my vote count hadn't increased given all the votes I'd cast ahead of the last reported update.

That's a bit misleading because the voting stats update weekly, but the comments (made and rec'd) are near realtime. I think the threads and posts are near realtime also. |
