I've got quite an interesting selection of comments as well this week. Some have commented that my shot is extremely disturbing and that's a really good thing. Some that it's extremely disturbing and they didn't like it. Some just saying it's gross. A few have informed me that I have problems and I should get help. However, no one has said they didn't "get it" though.
Oh, and of course my score is a ways below average, as I expected.
(sorry if this gives away which shot is mine)

Odd that most of my shots have been taken outside and my few successful
shots here were also taken either outside or certainly 'on location'...

I read some of my posts from yesterday, and came to a startling realization: I AM A BIG, FAT CRYBABY! I apologize and will try to quit. I know it's hard going cold turkey but that is my goal. Sorry to anyone that wasted their time reading that whiny crap. So, anyway, Movin' On!

On here?? Looks like most of the stuff you have on here were done indoors in a studio.

Mmmm, yes this sorts of gives it away but that's quite all right. I liked the shot a lot and was just wondering whether the photographer thereof was going to survive :)

You are either a master of convincingly staging fake props or you should advise your girlfriend/boyfriend to be a tad gentler in the lovemaking department :)

Most of my shots aren't on here. Though the two most successful ones
I've entered here were not shot in a studio either.

Check out the gallery link below - most of those are outdoor/ non-studio.

At a rough count 22 out of the 400 or so pictures posted would be
considered 'studio' Say +-50 even, and at most that's only 20%
The real number is closer to 6% ( can't be bothered removing the
wedding pictures to get a 'real' count)

No, I am talkinga boutyour most visually impactive images on here, NOT what the DPc has voted as highest :) you should know the difference by now. I am talkinga bout your trashcan entry, which I find to be very interesting, and the FLARE entry. Even the "Blue Moon Craters" were good.

(BTW, the capitol photo looks overly processed -- i have been in side, and the color is not right as it is darker in the center of the dome:) but whatever works!!)

You have to go when the light is right. Late afternoon when the windows at the top are
glowing. You can see some of that blue in the picture. It's all
about the light. That and knowing how to use your camera for high key
shots.

I actually like the capitol photos when there is shading on top so that the whole top projects warmth. If it has the same color there is no depth and doesn't look as interesting to me as some of the other capitol shots i have seen. The one i like is when the side has the same color as your photo, but the top has a dark amber glow.

Here's an example of the color in the capitol building that i like:

Capitol Building

It's taken at the similar angle as your shot but reveals more and more warm colors.

Government buildings never give me the feeling of warmth, so I wouldn't
want my picture to show that. It always seems like a really cold, clinical
place to me.

The link above shows warmth :) I am talking about pure asthetics of architecture which in teh capitol building does have that warm feeling, at least to me. It's personal taste but i simply prefer the warmer colors better.
