In case anyone missed it, tomorrow is Mark Simm's birthday. He's been a member here for a long time and I think we should wish him a good day.

don't count on that score going up. There has been some amazingly wonderful people here who came to my rescue as my first winter here in Alaska is testing my survival skills - but at the same time my score in Best of 2006 dropped from a 6.9 to a 6.75 |

Look, many many thanks to everyone, in that other post I just mentioned it as a bit of a laugh (although it really is my Bday tomorrow) but quite taken aback by this thread, you guys are great.,. doesnt mean I will go easy on any of you in future though, I am still the same old mean Mark underneath. :-)
On the negative side, I was supposed to be ordering my 17-40 F4 tomorrow but the death of my main PC has forced me to reallocate the funds across to a new PC instead (although a real beefy Intel Core Duo thingy) and the computer is slightly more important.. shame as i wanted to be out next week shooting wide angle..
Sooo, if you lot wanted to club together and get me a present... Although the fact my BW portrait shot up from 5.5 this morning toa whopping 6.7 this evening means someone took me seriously!!

One may also be having a tipple tonight. Ange (the better half) bought me champagne for my birthday so no doubt that will be going down the hatch first, but we do have a rather large bottle of vodka left over from Christmas, so that may be chasing down the champers!
Glad you havent frozen!
Happy bday to yours as well Laurie! He's a teenagers now, this is where the fun starts.. (I am dreading it with my two).. I'm not a praying man, but I can send you my very best wishes!!
