I was wondering if people are scoring black and white magazine covers lower. Personally, I'm not, but I can see why people would be. It seems like a black and white shot would have very little chance of being selected by a magazine for a cover since it wouldn't draw attention to the magazine on the rack from far away and catch people's eye. On the other hand, perhaps a black and white one would stand out more surrounded by dozens of bright multi-colored shots and it would look more artistic. Who knows? Any thoughts? |

Depends on the magazine and the content of the photo. In at least one case I questioned it. In at least two others I thought it worked well. Haven't finalized my scores or finished handing out comments yet, so that's as much as I can definitely say. |
