I have finished working on my website

silverfoxx.org

I haven't made it from the beginning, I bought a template. I have changed it a lot though and added many new things. the more I change the original template the more I like the result:) so I am trying to learn flash now and trying to build the website only in flash.

it would be very-very wonderful to know what you think!

good work I like a lot your work especially the main photo that we see when we enter on your site.
I have suggestions though. If possible resize the HEIGHT of your site so there's no scroll bar (for a minimum resolution of 1024*768) . Also, in the galleries section, when you put the cursor over a picture in the picture list there's a "view image" label that appear. I would remove that too because I think it's an unnecessary information to display(it's pretty intuitive already without that information)

Anyway, great job overall !

I love your website. Very cool. I would recommend having a look at your POTD image. It seems to offer a link but no response...you really have to go searching for the link.

great job indeed (both the photos and the site).

one navigational issue: when you're looking a the galleries, there is no button to come back to the homepage (or I missed it which actually ends up the same).

Girl, your website looks fantastic! The only thing I happened to notice was the same thing about not having a homepage button. But other than that, I thought it was great. :)

In general, I find flash-based web galleries very annoying. Yours is probably one of the best I've seen. Its annoy-quotient is very low.

I just thought photos are a bit more protected in a flash gallery. this way you can't download them, the only thing you can is to print screen-paste somewhere. but maybe I am wrong.

Beautiful image on front page. Really like how the page "acts". I would agree that you should try and resize so there is no scroll bar on the front page.

Get ridd of the sounds. A sound once is okay, but a sound at every action is annoying.

Apart from that, I think it is a nice site, both in layout and in content.

Absolutely STUNNING! ... and the images SUPER!.

About the annoyance factor ... just a TAD less animation on mouseovers.

Other than that ... Maybe one of the best flash sites I have ever seen.

Did I mention that the photos were SUPER?

I think that it's a fairly good website as far as flash sites go. You will lose out on good search engine positions somewhat for being all flash based.

However. I almost didn't see your site at all because of how long it took to get past the loading screen. Unfortunately, yahoo hosting is not all that quick sometimes.

Also, it looks like it has music on it. You could probably ditch that.

I agree, twice I thought about closing the window while it was loading. The sound on everything is quite annoying. You did provide a way to turn it off but I would still think about removing some of the sounds and making the sound selection sticky.

You've broken the back button. There are many tutorials on how to use flash and not break the back button.

Many of what appear to be links are broken unless you don't intend them to be links in which case they are confusing.

ok, I'm removing the sounds now, but I didn't even have the back button. the main movie contains 4 parts and it's too much already - maybe that's why it's so slow, it goes fast on my computer though :(

so I made the gallery as a separate flash movie and also music.
what links are broken? I don't understand, everything works well on my test version and when I update it on the server:(( oh wel, I will try on my work computer tomorrow.

yes, there are many flash tutorials, too many, since there are also very many books on lighting and other photo things I'm veyr much into now :(

Click on About. The two images appear as links but don't go anywhere. Click on Galleries, the three images there also appear as links but don't go anywhere.

The browser has the back button. If you're on About and click Galleries you go to Galleries. If you click back you should go to About.

ah, ok, I understand now. now, they are not links, the "hand" only shows it's something to "play" there, and it's a short movie that plays: a curtain-like thing over images.
I thought it's nice with some animation, at least with this little. especally since it's a fash ste.

Instead of removing the sound why don't you just have it come up default off.... I actually liked the music you had when I was looking at your site over the weekend.

Now you have a sound icon for turning it off or on but there is no sound to begin with.

(p.s. I think I already told you that I like your site)
