I thought I'd try something a bit different for me...I kind of like how they turned out:

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Wink, ursula, pawdrix, and ErinM for your comments. I appreciate them very much! :)

If you have any motion blur experiments, please feel free to post them.

I like em ... very severe and unique in some way.

I went out this morning and grabbed some wildlife shots as the sun peeked out for the first time in a long time here.

I got this one. I think it might qualify for action blur. I was thinking of you right after I clicked the shutter.

Early Morning Stretch

What do you think?

Edit ... oops ... forgot the .jpg

I'm slow but when did you change your name to L1? So now we have L1 and L2. Is there an L3 floating around? :P Btw, left you a comment.

I changed it a couple of weeks ago...and the only L3 I've seen is in DPC Fanatics chat, but we'll see if one pops up here! ;)

Thanks for the comment! :)

Also, greetmir, your shot is quite nice...I like the color, as well as the sense of movement in the wings.

Any others?

Well, as fun as motion blur is, there are days that it just makes for a really bad image. :)

BTW, Greetmir I really like your shot. The wing movement really adds to the image.

Some of my tries for last motion blur challenge These shots were in bright sun with a 300mm at 200 ISO, at as slow speed as I could shoot without completely overexposing the shot and lose all the focus to movement. Van

Van, that's what I'm talking about! There are certain images and activities that really benefit from the blur of motion. Specifically, I really like this one:

Nice job.

Here is another that I caught during the same morning walk in the park. I had to do more severe fixes on the contrast and colour balance with this one because it was bright and I used a polarizing filter to knock down the light coming in for slower shutter speed.

How you like this one? I am kind happy with how it came out in the end.

Here is another that I just uploaded today.
